The saddle should line up with your bent leg. Move your saddle forward or backward. This determines your distance from the handlebars. Sit on the bike to figure out the right placement for your saddle.
A neutral, middle position does brinh for most but the most accurate way to adjust is by making sure your knee is in line with your toes when you pedal. You should be able to draw a straight line down from your knee to your toes. Adjust your handlebar height.
Make sure all your adjustments are locked in.
The best part of biking? You just start pedaling, no fancy buttons needed.
cycking And, a knob is available to increase or decrease the pedal resistance. By pressing the button, you can be taken straight to the chosen number level of resistance, instead of cycling cool biking shoes. This option is especially beneficial if you are doing intervals on the bike.
When I would teach, my classes would be music-guided. Nedd knew my playlists well and had designated songs for sprinting, hills, jumping, tempo work, etc. Prepare to sweat! Seriously sweaty-town. It was pretty amazing.
Chances are that, like with any new workout, you will be sore no matter what, so use this as a chance to get a feel for what the class is like and what you think about the instructor if you want to take their class again.

I taught at Equinox for a couple years but then had to bding because at the time I was juggling too much with my full time job. I love spinning! I miss it a lot since quitting the gym…it is such a fun workout that really works you! So true that the instructor makes or breaks the class with spinning.
And I think even more than in other workouts. I love to spin though!

It's just a cheap bike. Again, thank you to everyone for the ccyling. I'll ask the instructor tomorrow. My gym is LA Fitness Just know it is a good workout for an hour my heart rate stays between - my target. It is a fun group class where I can blend in and stay motivated. The class size is about and yes, most bikes for cycling in and change their shoes.
Not really a newbie to fitness just took 6 months off - done 5 K's even tho takes me about 32 minutes and a couple 10K's in right at an hour.
Just wanted to make sure I have the right ones for this to get the best workout - even with my Asics al straps hurt my toes and I'll need pedicures more often!!! Jan 20, Definitely ask the instructor what type of cleats they use. I know other gyms where they only take SPD.
For me, wearing regular athletic shoes and toe clips made my feet hurt by about the 20 minute mark because of how flexible the sole of the shoe is. Getting an actual cycling shoe gives you a firmer platform to push against without that flex.
Look for a pair on sale at one of the websites linked in the first few responses. You don't need a top of the line shoe Dec bing, I am a spin instructor different brands cycling shoes size chart well.
If you enjoy this class and take it 2 or more days a week shoes are a very worthwhile investment. You can get a decent pair of shoes at a local bike shop. I ride outside as well, and I use a different shoe for that entirely.
